In a song like this tune, Henry Gaye reflects on the worlds problems and the blatant lies most people in control and power tell the population whilst the suffering continues. Are world governments doing enough to reduce poverty or just thinking of more and more money? How come some countries are so poor yet are selling their precious minerals all over the world? How come so much suffering but there are men and women in power who call themselves leaders. Henry Gaye calling for a Kalashnikov does not mean he wants a real Kalashnikov or is a violent man. This song is the representation of how the world's suffering people feel in the face of the lies and discrimination. If we were all brave enough to face the truth!
